Photographer, writer and director Robyn Lea has been working internationally for the past 20 years. Her work has been featured in The New York Times, Vogue Entertaining & Travel, Vogue Italia, Architectural Digest, WSJ International, The Financial Times, Velvet, Time Magazine, Vogue Living, Harper’s Bazaar, Gourmet Traveler and Elle Decoration UK among others.
Celebrity subjects that have sat for Robyn include Willem Dafoe, Sasha Pivovarova, Isabel Lucas, Sarah Murdoch, Claudia Schiffer and Amy Arbus as well as celebrated NY-based artist, Ross Bleckner. Robyn has also exhibited internationally and has over 10 solo shows, and countless group shows.
Recent projects include a branded film for Peroni Nastro Azzurro featuring British fashion designer, Antonio Berardi for Vogue Italia, and a self published art book chronicling her years of living and shooting in Milan. Titled Milan: Discovering Food, Fashion and Family in a Private City, the book profiles some of the city’s most iconic and fiercely private cultural figures, brands and locations including Barnaba Fornasetti, Carla Sozzani, Antonio Marras, Luisa Beccaria, Fondazione Gianfranco Ferré, Bulgari, Costume National, Villa Necchi Campiglio, Studio Achille Castiglioni and Cimiterio Monumentale among others.
Currently, Lea is working on a book and film project about Jackson Pollock. The book will be released in spring 2015 by Assouline.
She and her family are currently based in Melbourne, Australia.
