 robyn lea profile

Robyn Lea, BA (Photography) RMIT, strikes a balance in her work between commercial and fine art photography. She has exhibited widely both in Australia and overseas but has also worked on major advertising accounts including the Domain Chandon 'What's an occasion anyway?' campaign and the 2001 Channel 7 Annual Report.

Selected solo exhibitions include 'Dance Zimbabwe', held at the Alliance Francaise Gallery in Zimbabwe; 'Once Upon A Collins Street', held at Georges, Melbourne, and a travelling exhibition 'Eggs' which was first launched at the Brett Whitely Gallery in Sydney.

Based for many years in Milan, Robyn has travelled extensively, most recently to Europe for Gourmet Traveler Magazine and to India, the results of which were published in Vogue Living. Last year Robyn was commissioned by the Melbourne International Festival to travel to New York, Frankfurt, St Petersburg, London, Paris and Chicago to photograph the stars of the 2001 Festival program. This project culminated in an exhibition of the work in November in Melbourne and selected images were also published in Harper's Bazaar, Vogue, Time Magazine and Australian Style Magazines.

Other editorial clients include Black and White Magazine, Panorama, Blue Magazine, The Qantas Magazine, The Financial Review Magazine, BRW, Gourmet Traveller, Vogue Australia, Australian Style and The Australian Art Collector Magazine.
